Terms of Service

Last updated: September 27, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Heddle at heddle.studio and related services (the "Service"), provided by Heddle Studio ("Heddle", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Questions: support@heddle.studio.

1. The Service

Heddle is an AI-assisted tool for importing and analyzing source material, researching, planning, drafting, managing writing preferences and optionally publishing social-media content (X/Twitter threads, LinkedIn posts). Outputs are generated by AI based on your inputs.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Plans, credits & billing

  • The Service offers a Free plan, a paid Pro plan, and optional one-time credit packs. Current prices and per-action credit costs are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Credits are consumed by AI actions (thread sessions, article analysis, image generation, etc.). Credits currently share one balance. Pro renewal resets that total balance to the plan allowance, including unused purchased credits; purchased credits are not kept in a separate protected pool. Free monthly refresh tops up a balance below its allowance without reducing a higher balance. Plan changes can also reset the balance. Review the current billing page before purchasing.
  • Payments are processed by Creem, acting as our Merchant of Record and reseller; Creem's terms also apply and it collects/remits applicable taxes.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel anytime via the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.

4. Refunds

Except where required by law: subscription fees are non-refundable for the current period (you keep access until period end), and consumed credits are non-refundable. Refunds are handled through Creem under its policies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create or publish content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or harassing; to generate, request, or publish NSFW, adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit images or content, or any content that sexualizes minors; to spam, impersonate, or violate the rules of any connected platform (X, LinkedIn); or to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the Service's limits or security. You are responsible for the content you generate and publish and for complying with the policies of any platform you post to.

6. Your content & AI output

You must have the rights and permissions needed to import, process and publish your material. You retain ownership of the material you provide and, to the extent permitted by law, of the content generated for you. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit your inputs to operate the Service (including sending them to AI/search providers — see the Privacy Policy). AI output is provided "as is" — it may be inaccurate or not unique; you must review and edit it before relying on or publishing it. Source-support checks compare a draft with the supplied material; they are not independent fact verification. Scores, visual suggestions and revisions do not guarantee accuracy, originality, suitability or engagement. Image prompts and generated images require your review, including any text, figures and claimed evidence.

7. Third-party platforms

Connecting or publishing to X or LinkedIn is subject to those platforms' terms, availability, permissions, rate limits and API changes. You choose when to publish. Different destinations can succeed or fail independently; inspect the result before retrying to avoid duplicate posts. Deleting a draft or Heddle account does not delete a published platform post. LinkedIn sync combines source text into a single post; it does not automatically rewrite it for that audience. Preview formatting, including draft bold text, may differ from the format accepted by a platform.

8. Termination

You may use available account-deletion controls or contact support to request deletion. Cancel an active subscription through the billing portal before deleting your account; deletion is not a substitute for subscription cancellation. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, suspected abuse/fraud, or to comply with law. Provisions that should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.

9. Disclaimers & liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heddle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted at heddle.studio/terms with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
